Esphome device class

Esphome device class

By default, ESPHome does not include any libraries into the project. This means that libraries that are bundled with Arduino, such as Wire or EEPROM, aren’t available. If you need to use them, you should list them manually under this option. If they are used by another library, they should be listed before the library that uses them  · device_class (Optional, string): The device class for the sensor. See Sensor - Home Assistant for a list of available options. Set to "" to remove the default device class of a sensor. This makes it sound like the ESPHome device_class list is unified with HA’s  · Hi All, I used Dr. ZZZ’s garage opener integration as an example for my Aircon integration with ESPhome. Aircon works now but there still some artefacts. For example device_class: garage-door that makes Aircon status to switch between “open” and “closed” instead of “on” and “off” Could someone guide me in the proper direction: what’s the proper

ESPHome — ESPHome

Hello everyone! ESPhome has many more than just binary sensors, esphome device class. That yaml itself is an example of an analog sensor sending a float. Yes but only binary sensors support device classes in ESPHome. Sensors in ESPHome do not. Sensors in Home assistant do.

Then in home assistant customise that sensor by applying the battery device class. It has icons relating to battery state. There is a provision in the ESPHome documentation, that talk to the possibly of measuring VCC. Perhaps you can try the abbreviated Yaml provide in their example. Pin used needs to be A0 only. On the ESP you can even measure the voltage the chip is getting.

This can esphome device class useful in situations where you want to shut down the chip if the voltage is low when using a battery. To measure the VCC voltage, set pin: to VCC and make sure nothing is connected to the A0 pin.

Ok understood. But Ok point taken, esphome device class. I hope this is a useful sample code for other people, esphome device class.

Is a way arround the error message not to show up? Skärmavbild kl. Why did you choose 3. If my inkplate uses a 3. Thanks in advance. You can probably use the thing I just specified.

thank you for this! esphomeesp vcc" Any idea? It only supports binary sensor device classes. You can customise the sensor in home assistant though. I think it has esphome device class be something related with some tricky naming convention in HA.

ESP Measuring VCC On the ESP you can esphome device class measure the voltage the chip is getting. Here is the final portion of that yaml: - platform: adc pin: VCC id: "VCC" internal: true - platform: template name: "esp. ESPHome Battery Level Sensor. I think that this small issue will be solved with next release. Hi I have a problem whit one of my d1 mini. On one I can monitor the battery.

On the other one I get error. The ID is optional. What I did was the following: Minimum Voltage in my case is 3. Here my full code for measuring with A0: sensor: - platform: adc pin: A0 id: "LIION" name: "A0 Voltage x 4. now i know!
